Today was my first official day of work an a IT guy for the IMB (unofficially). The day went by pretty easy. Nothing major. Then after work we headed home and heated up the left over lasagna from dinner at Steph's. Since we don't have a microwave, we just had to heat it up in a skillet on the stove(aka a heating element). We just mushed it up so it would cook evenly. We ate our delicious mush on the leftover garlic beard Steph gave us. They were like like little Italian sandwiches! Awesome! I think we should patent the idea and start our own chain of restaurants.
After our great dinner, we went to the International Bible Study. It was really good. We talked about suffering and how God uses it to grow you. Powerful stuff and makes for a great discussion. After Bible Study, we went and met up with everyone at Flora(a big mall with a food court where everyone always goes) and hung out for a little while. Then we went to Nat's and Steph's apartment to watch The Fountain. It was a good movie, but kind of weird. We went to leave at 2:30am (that's because Daniel had to go back to our apartment to get his laptop that the movie was on). Public Transportation stops running at midnight. Luckily for us, there are night buses that roam the city at night. The problem is they only run once or twice an hour. This means waiting a lot, but we had no choice. We left their apartment and walked 5 or 6 blocks to the hotel to pick up the 58 night tram. We took the 58 to Biskupcova. When we got off the bus we had to walk around till we found the Biskupcova bus line. (They really should put them closer together) We found the 509 night bus stop, but had to wait for almost an hour until the bus came. Luckily for us, we were sitting right next to an electronics store that had TVs in the window! So we watched women's downhill skiing till the bus came. Finally the bus came and we rode it till our stop and we were home. The time was 4am. For the record, the night transportation all smells like alcohol and the people on there all look dead or close to it. Motto of the story, don't ride the night transportation!
