I had a great last night in Kiev. We went and got pizza and then said our goodbyes. I am truly going to miss them all. The next day we went to the airport and found out that we could only check one bag so Daniel and I decided to just take our smaller bags as carry-ons. Customs destroyed us... We forgot that we had put all of our shower stuff in our small bags. We ran our bags through the x-ray thing and then the ladies asked us to open the bags because we had shower stuff in them. Well, I had zip-tied my bag shut to keep it from being tampered with because I they told us we could check 2 bags. So, there I was with a bag that I needed scissors to get into and no way of opening it! The ladies didn't speak English and I didn't speak Ukrainian. It was quite a fiasco! We finally got my bag open after much confusion and then the lady proceeded to tell me what I could and could not take. The casualties were my shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Oddly enough the one thing they should have taken but didn't, was my razor. The one thing I could actually hurt someone with was left! Go figure! We then flew to Prague without any further incidences.
